Engineering MANAGER

Job Summary

MOXFIVE is actively seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team and leverage your skillsets to manage our company’s DevOps and Data Science pipeline. As an Engineering Manager, you will advise and develop homegrown tools or work with existing solutions and integrate them across the various departments within the company. You will also work with Technical Advisors and Project Managers to develop custom built innovative solutions to streamline client-facing processes that will then get added to the Platform through the efforts of the Transformation team. Additionally, you will also work with the VP of Technology to expand the company’s data science capabilities and build a robust data analytics framework.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day Responsibilities

• Partner closely with IT and Platform teams to design, develop, and manage custom-built solutions to be used internally and externally.
• Collaborate with the Platform team to integrate solutions into the platform.
• Create new workflows and automate processes for internal tools and processes in multiple coding languages including Python and C#.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across the organization.
• Manage day-to-day DevOps engineering requests and streamline and automate internal and client-facing processes
• Work closely with peers across departments to ensure processes and procedures include the appropriate integrations.
• Design and build a Data Lake infrastructure with external vendors to ensure that the data is securely stored and available for MOXFIVE and our clients.
• Refine data collection processes by performing quarterly reviews of MOXFIVE’s data.
• Manage data and systems integration projects with both internal and external systems and data.

Job Skills & Qualifications (Required)

• Experience leading projects and detailed-oriented mindset
• Self-starter with a solid work ethic and a desire to work in a fast paced, start-up environment
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of:
• • Cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Scripting and programming: Python, C#, Ruby
  • Database: Mongo, Cosmos DB, Power BI
  • Security best practices
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket) and project management solutions (e.g., Jira, Monday)
• Experience with designing, building, implementing, and managing solutions that streamline and automate processes
• Prior experience with Programming, DevOps, and/or Engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
• Ability to work nights and weekends, if needed

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field / work experience
• Incident Response experience
• In-depth knowledge of the incident response process
• Location - Austin, TX preferred
